Highlights from a week hiking around the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona.
I’ve been photographing travels and everyday moments for over 20 years.
From a humble Sony DSC-W1 to a Nikon D90 and now a Nikon D750 my gear has evolved over time, but the curiosity behind the lens hasn’t changed.

Buckle up!

And hold on tight!

Our driver handled her rig pretty well.

There were some bumpy stretches.

We stretched our legs amidst expansive canyon views.

We visited the Palatki Heritage Site, a remarkably preserved archaeological treasure.
Our guide had a lot of knowledge to share and Charles had plenty of questions!

We learned about the ancient cultures that made these red rock canyons their cliff dwelling homes for thousands of years between 1150 and 1350.

The site also showcases an extraordinary collection of rock art, including pictographs and petroglyphs that tell the stories of multiple cultures who used these sheltered spaces across millennia.

Another site elsewhere featured more heavily decorated walls.
